Tour Itinerary – 5 Days Congo Gorilla trek and Nyiragongo Hike
Day 1: Pick up for Kigali City tour and, transfer to Gisenyi.
Pick up by our company guide from your hotel early morning for a Kigali city tour. Expect to visit places like the Gosozi genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets. Then, you will drive north of Rwanda to Gisenyi, viewing the remarkable scenery of the Virunga Mountains en route. In the evening, you may go for a boat cruise up to the hot
springs.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kivu Serena Hotel(luxury)/Gorillas hotel (Deluxe).
Day 2: Nyiragongo Hike.
Early morning breakfast and departure cross over to DR Congo and proceed to Kibatsi village where you start the hike of the mountain from. You will reach the top in the
afternoon and have dinner and overnight at the top.
Day 3: Descent the volcano and transfer it to Volcanoes National Park

In the morning, you will descend the volcano and cross back to Rwanda and drive to Volcanoes National Park. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu.
Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge(Luxury)/La Palme Hotel(Deluxe)/Muhabura Hotel(Budget).
Day 4: Mountain Gorilla tracking and cultural walk
This is the day for gorilla tracking adventure. Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the gorillas. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu.
Dinner and overnight(Day 3).
Day 5: Dian Fossey hike/Mt Bisoke hike and transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing, and later, go for the hike to Dian Fossey’s grave, an American primatologist who dedicated her years trying to conserving the lives of the gorillas until she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a mountain gorilla. In return, you will drive back to Kigali.
