6 Days Uganda safari covering wild game viewing in Queen Elizabeth national park, Gorilla watching in Bwindi impenetrable forest and wildlife viewing in Lake Mburo national park. Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
Start your Uganda wildlife tour with pick up early morning from your hotel after a cup of coffee and drive off for Kasese home of Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive 4 – 5 hour drive will take you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside with scenic vies of tea plantations, rolling hills and arriving in Queen Elizabeth in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the savannah and later return to your hotel for Dinner and overnight at; Enganzi Lodge (budget), Marafiki safari lodge (midrange) and Mweya safari lodge (luxury)
Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Launch Cruise
Set off quite today with packed breakfast for an early morning game drive to catch the early risers in the the Kasenyi Sector of the park. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and quite a number of others. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon head out for a 2 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see large concentrations of wildlife along the banks of the river like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, a large number of bird species.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel of Day 1
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Wake up to a work breakfast and set off for Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu eco reserve. Return to your lodge for lunch and be ready to depart for Bwindi national park home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi comprises of over 480 mountain gorillas, with 12 habituated gorilla groups. The journey goes through the Ishasha sector famous for Tree-Climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/ Silverback Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas or wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Pygmies visit
Wake up very early in the morning and prepare for the Gorilla Tracking activity, include your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to batwa community. Dinner and over night at your lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park – Afternoon Boat Ride
Early breakfast in preparation for the journey to Lake Mburo National park via Kabale – Mbarara route. The park is home to zebras, impalas, waterbucks and other animals of the antelope family. Check into your hotel on arrival and later head out for a community walk to the Salt Lick wooden platform where you will see wildlife lick salty soil. Return to your hotel for lunch and in the afternoon embark on an after lunch for afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo its self in search for water game such as Hippos, crocodiles, birds and statunga antelopes inhabiting in papyruses surrounding the Lake.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Departure
Have breakfast at your hotel and set off for an early game drive in search for wildlife as they return to their hide-outs. Expect to see zebras, Impala, oribs, bafalo, sitatunga antelope and more. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon hit the road back to Kampala for departure or drop off at the airport to catch your departure flight.
