Day 1: Lake Mburo National Park birding safari

After breakfast at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, meet your driver-guide for transfer to Lake Mburo National Park your birding safari destination as per the 3 days Uganda birding tour. A road trip up to Lake Mburo National Park takes about 4 hours via the Masaka-Mbarara route. The expected stopover visit will be at the Equator crossing for photography and proceeding to the park for lunch in the afternoon. You may drive through the park while identifying some interesting birds or go on a boat ride/cruise along Lake Mburo to sight lots of aquatic birds.

Day 2: Birding tour of Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, take a short walk on the birding trail with an armed park guide. Identify some birds and later, board a 4×4 safari vehicle for guided game drive and birding tour via the savanna grassland of Lake Mburo National Park. The wildlife species to watch include impalas, zebras, buffaloes, elands, topis, birds such as tabora cisticola, red faced barbet, lesser blue eared starling, coqui francolin, black shouldered cuckoo shrike, green capped eremomela, Sulphur breasted bush shrike, etc.

Retreat from the game and bird driving experience, enjoy a delicious lunch at leisure and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise tour.
