They are twelve Nyiragongo summit cabin that is found at the top of Nyiragongo and the accommodation facilities are very basic that provide accommodation for two people in each cabin with two single beds where you can retire having a long day. Each cabin has two pillows and sleeping bags that give you a comforting night.

Each group has a personal chef who handles all meals of the day, he prepares dinner on your arrival with warm tea that you will enjoy around a campfire and breakfast that you will take before you descend down to the starting point. While hiking to the summit of Nyiragongo, you will have energizing snacks with drinking water that are provided with you in order to boost your energy. The warm clothing is very important while preparing to hike the mountain just to keep warm from the strong winds, and hiking shoes that cover ankles.

Climbing Mount Nyiragongo is filled with wonder or astonishment experience that takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach the summit of Mountain Nyiragongo and descending is much faster than it takes you almost three hours to reach the starting point. While descending to the starting point, you will have a spectacular view to Lake Kivu, volcano ranges, Virunga National Park and mountain Rwenzori in Uganda. The hiking permit at a fee of $ 300 per person and you can obtain them at Virunga National Park headquarters

Porters are available for hire on a request basis at a little fee and we highly recommend using local porters as a direct way of gaining into the Park in order to improve on their cost of living.
