Day 1: Hot air balloon safari to Murchison Falls National Park

Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park by Maranatha Tours and Travel driver-guide. Navigate via Luweero-Masindi route 5-6 hours’ drive with en-route visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking.

Lunch will be provided en-route at Masindi and you continue to Murchison Falls your hot air balloon safari destination. Depending on the location of your accommodation, you may have an evening game drive.

Day 2: Hot air balloon experience & launch cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls

Leave your accommodation for your hot air balloon safari which will be followed by a guided game drive. Set off at 5:00am for 45- 2 hours’ hot air balloon experience, fly above the vast savanna plains of Murchison while viewing a range of wildlife such as giraffes, large herds of elephants, lions, antelopes and more.

After have a bush breakfast, then proceed for a guided game drive via the Northern sector to see more wildlife. The Northern sector of Murchison Falls NP is a rich area with wildlife including hyenas, jackals, buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, hartebeests, oribis, birds and more.

Retreat from a game drive, settle for a leisurely lunch and at 2:00pm, you will be expected at Paraa for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile taking you to the bottom of the falls. On 2-3 hours’ launch cruise upstream, you will have incredible sightings of hippos, crocodiles, water birds etc.

Once you have reached at the bottom of the falls, next will be taking 45 minutes’ trek to the top of the falls. Observe, take photos of Murchison Falls as it squeezes itself into a narrow gorge of about 8 meters, creating a permanent rainbow and powerful roar.
