When to visit Bugungu Wildlife Reserve

Although Bugungu animals Reserve is open all year round, most people agree that the dry season is the greatest time to see animals. Every year, the reserve has two dry seasons, the longest of which lasts from June to mid-September and the shorter of which lasts from December to February.

Because there is little rainfall during these arid months, animal paths are simpler to follow and guests may have leisurely, undisturbed game drives. Because animals congregate around water sources and visibility is often better, seeing wildlife is also more enjoyable.

However, Bugungu is a year-round location, so visitors may still arrange a successful trip during the wet or low season, which runs from October to November and March to May. The reserve becomes a lush, green, and picturesque landscape at this time due to the higher rainfall that promote the growth of luxuriant flora.

The primary disadvantage of traveling during the rainy season is that activities may be disrupted by the erratic rains. During guided game drives, it might be a little harder to monitor wildlife since some roads and game trails can get muddy or slippery.
