Day 1: Depart Kampala for Bwindi for your 3 days Uganda Gorilla Tour

Have a hefty breakfast early morning back in your place of residence or hotel in Kampala. After, meet, greet your driver guide/tour leader and shortly, have a quick briefing about the 3 days Uganda Gorilla Tour.

Depart Kampala city after briefing taking the Kampala-Mbarara-Kabale route likely to take you 8-9 hours’ drive depending on mechanical condition of your rental car.

Getting to Bwindi in Kigezi Highlands, Southwestern Uganda is a long journey but amazing. En-route, the Equator crossing stopover won’t be missed for photo taking and perform some experience, proceed to Mbarara city for lunch break.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest & Batwa Community Tour

Rise up early for a heft breakfast and today, have it at the booked lodge in Bwindi. Vacate the lodge but ensure you have all that is needed for your gorilla trek.

Transfer to Bwindi Forest offices/trail head as directed by your gorilla permit to get briefed about Gorilla trekking rules and this occurs in the park’s 4 regions of Rushaga, Nkuringo, Ruhija and Buhoma.

The 7:00am-8:00am briefing isn’t only for you to have insight into Gorilla rules but also to be allocated to a habituated gorilla family out of Bwindi’s 20 families readily available for trekking. At 8:00am, the actual activity starts with the park guide leading you and this will take 2-6 hours depending where gorillas are. The 6 hours include 1 hour of face to face interaction, photo taking etc and after, you will walk back to have a relaxed evening in the lodge.

After a relaxed lunch back in your lodge, go end your day with Batwa community tour. Interact, explore more about the Batwa pygmies’ cultures, dances, traditions and then get back to retire for the night in your lodge.
