Detailed itinerary for the 3 days Bwindi Gorilla Trek

Day 1: Depart Kampala for Bwindi Forest National Park

Depending on where you shall be (Entebbe airport or you hotel in Kampala), our professional driver guide representing Maranatha Tours and Travel will come for you. After, meet, greet your driver guide/tour leader and shortly, have a quick briefing about the Affordable 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour Package Uganda. you will then start off a full day drive to Bwindi Forest via Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale route. The drive time from Kampala to Bwindi Forest is roughly 8-9 hours . You will have an enroute stop at the Uganda Equator for photography and refreshment.

The long drive to Bwindi Forest will offer you the best pre trekking experience. Enjoy the beautiful scenic views of Ankole cattle farms, tea plantations, banana plantations and kigezi rolling hills. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Tour

Rise up early for a hearty breakfast at the booked lodge in Bwindi.  Carry all you need for gorilla watching and vacate the lodge and transfer to the respective haed offices/trailhead to receive a briefing about Gorilla trekking rules.

 In addition to the briefing, you will be allocated one of the 20 gorilla families in Bwindi Forest.  At 8:00 am, the actual activity starts with the park guide leading you into the jungle Forest, and this will take 2-6 hours depending on where the gorillas are. The 6 hours include 1 hour of face-to-face interaction, photo-taking, etc, and after, you will walk back to have a relaxed evening in the lodge.

During your search for the gorillas, you may meet other wild animals and birds that live there. The most seen are the colobus monkeys, baboons, and reptiles, among others. Also, Bwindi Forest shelters over 350 bird species, 14 of which are not recorded anywhere in Africa.

After a relaxed lunch back in your lodge,  for a Batwa community tour for a great cultural experience. Interact, explore, and learn more about the Batwa pygmies’ cultures, dances, traditions and then get back to retire for the night in your lodge. Day 3: Return to either Kampala or Entebbe
