2 Day Uganda Gorilla Safari

Enjoy the highlights of a brief gorilla trip in the Bwindi woods on this 2-day safari through Uganda. Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of gorilla trekking on a one-night, two-day safari in the lush woods of Bwindi, in southwestern Uganda. Located in the NkuringoRuhijaBuhoma, and Rushaga districts of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which spans 331 sq. km., is proud to be home to 459 of the 1063 mountain gorillas, as well as 20 habituated gorilla groups. You will start and finish your short gorilla excursion to Bwindi in Kigali, Rwanda.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Travel from Kigali to Bwindi NP

After breakfast or upon arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL), meet your driver guide for a briefing on the two-day Uganda gorilla safari. Begin driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park early, crossing the Chanika or Katuna border to the Buhoma area in the north. Driving from Kigali to Bwindi National Park in Kabale, Southwestern Uganda, takes approximately 3- 4 hours in a comfortable 4×4 car. 

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Departure

After a nice breakfast, meet at the Buhoma headquarters, where you will learn the basic rules for tracking gorillas. The briefing starts at 7:00 AM and lasts for an hour. The gorilla walk starts at 8:00 AM. You can spend more than 7 hours with the gorillas before you meet them, but you can only spend an hour with them. Drive back to Kigali in the evening to leave.
