Detailed Itinerary:

Silverback Gorilla Tour’s driver guide will collect you up at 4:00 a.m. from the Kigali airport, your hotel, or any other agreed-upon location in Kigali. After the meet and greet, take a three-hour drive north to Volcanoes National Park, home to endangered gorillas. Assemble in the Kinigi Park offices, where you will be offered coffee.

  
Register with the park wardens, who will inform you on the laws and procedures for mountain gorilla trekking. Set off in groups of eight to seek for the designated gorilla family in the bamboo forest. The search for gorillas begins at 8:00 a.m., and the amount of time spent in the jungle varies from 30 minutes to more than six hours.However, the time you can spend with gorillas is strictly limited to one hour from the moment you meet them. Take care and savor every moment of this beautiful encounter. On a good day, you may encounter additional wild animals that inhabit Volcanoes National Park. These include golden monkeys, forest elephants, African buffalos, and colobus monkeys, among others. After an hour with the gorillas, descend down, collect your trekking certificate, and drive back to Kigali.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Travel from Kigali to Bwindi NP

After breakfast or on your arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL), meet your driver guide for a briefing about the 2 days Uganda gorilla safari. Begin driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park early, cross via Chanika or Katuna border to Buhoma sector in the North. Kigali to Bwindi National Park in Kabale, Southwestern Uganda, is a 3-4 hours’ drive in a comfortable 4×4 vehicle.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Departure

After an enjoyable breakfast early morning, assemble at Buhoma offices where you are briefed on the general guidelines of gorilla tracking. Briefing starts at 7:00 am for an hour and the gorilla trek begins at 8:00 am starting at 7:00 am. You will spend strictly an hour with the gorillas but you can spend over 7 hours before meeting them. In the evening, drive back to Kigali for departure
