Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early morning breakfast at the hotel or place of residence in Kampala, you will be picked up by your safari/driver guide ready to begin your 5 hours’ journey via Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal to Kibale National Park. En route, don’t miss the impressive view over the country’s exceptional landscape and lunch will be served to you in a hotel in Fort Portal. After, head out to Amabeere Nyinamwiru caves, which consist of breast like features. Retreat from your exploration and drive to Kibale National Park which is 26 km away from Fort Portal Town.

Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale National Park

Chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale Forest National Park begins with 6:00 am briefing on the set guidelines. You will embark on your adventure with trackers and you will be following the semi-habituated chimpanzees the whole day while taking note of how they copulate, feed, socialize, communicate till when they make new nests. Chimpanzee habituation experience is a magical experience that involves making chimpanzees get used to human presence.
Because it is a whole-day adventure, you are advised to come along with some packed lunch and energy-giving snacks. Today, you won’t only come across chimpanzees but also other primates and bird species. Retreat from this experience to relax, dine and spend a night at the lodge.

Day 3: Nature walks in Bigodi Wetland & Departure

Have breakfast early in the morning and later, drive to Bigodi Wetland for you to embark on a guided nature walk. On guided nature walks in Bigodi, you will come across different primate species including L’Hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, baboons, red colobus monkeys, mangabeys; birds, sitatunga, bush bucks and many more. Get back to the lodge to lunch and later, check out ready to embark on a return journey to Kampala/Entebbe.
