Detailed Itinerary – 5 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for guided game viewing

Begin your Uganda wildlife adventure with an early morning pickup from your hotel. After a refreshing cup of coffee, drive 5–6 hours to Kasese, the gateway to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). Enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, lush tea plantations, and Uganda’s picturesque countryside along the way. Arrive in time for lunch, then embark on an afternoon game drive through the park’s savanna, spotting elephants, buffaloes, lions, and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive-Launch Cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast, then head out for a guided morning game drive along the Kasenyi Game Track in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch. 

In the afternoon, enjoy a 2–3 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and numerous aquatic birds along the riverbanks.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Day 3 of your 5-day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari starts with a hearty breakfast before transferring to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in preparation for tomorrow’s Gorilla Trekking adventure. Bwindi is home to over 480 mountain gorillas, with 20 habituated families ready for trekking. 

The 3–4 hour drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi includes a chance to spot the famous Tree-Climbing Lions in the Ishasha sector, with a lunch stop en route at Savanna Resort.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Pygmies visit-Bwindi N. Park

Your trek, led by an experienced park guide, can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
