Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Early morning after breakfast or pickup from the airport, start the journey and drive through Mubende to Fortportal on a 3 – 4 hours’ drive. You will have lunch in Fort Portal, after which check into your hotel. In the afternoon head out for a community walk to visit the crater lakes region where you will have spectacular views of the Lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking –Bigodi swamp tour
Have early breakfast and report to the ranger station in Kibale for a short briefing and thereafter, enter the forest to track the habituated chimpanzees. After this delightful experience, return to the Lodge for relaxation. in the afternoon, set out for a walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary with an opportunity to see a diversity of birdlife, flora and fauna. Day 3: Drive to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector
Wake up to a beautiful cup of coffee and get ready for departure to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The dense forest of Bwindi is a shelter for roughly 600 mountain gorillas which live in 20 habituated gorilla groups. Enjoy a drive via Ishasha sector south of Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for Tree-Climbing lions. Reach Bwindi In the evening check in and relax at your lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Trek mountain gorillas
Wake up very early in the morning and prepare for the Gorilla Tracking activity, include your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to batwa community. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala with en route stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch.
