Detailed itinerary of your 8 days Uganda Primates Safari

Day 1: Kampala-Murchison Falls National Park and visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Have the best of your breakfast early and leave Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park after briefing from your tour leader about the 8 days Uganda Primates Safari. Taking on Kampala-Gulu Highway, make a stopover tour at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking, about 1 hour (optional). Exit Ziwa and drive to Masindi Town for lunch before getting to the southern gate to clear with park officials to be given access to the park. Head off to the Top of the Falls in the afternoon and after, drive to your lodge facility.

Day 2: Guided Game drive & Launch cruise, Murchison Falls National Park

Enjoy morning breakfast and after, meet the guide ready to undertake 2-3 Guided game drive in Murchison Falls. In a comfortable 4WD car, the animal sighting possibilities range from warthogs, giraffes, bush bucks, lions, hyenas, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, Kobs, Hartebeest, Oribis to birds. After, drive back while viewing a lot more species and have a leisurely lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon relaxation and later, join other visitors for Victoria Launch cruise to the bottom of the Falls, 2 to 3 hours. This mainly exposes you to numerous crocodiles, hippos, water birds, buffaloes, elephants, view the scenic riverine forest, and so on.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale Forest & Queen Elizabeth Trip 2-3hrs

A delicious cup of tea/coffee, and leave your accommodation for briefing at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre beginning at 7:00 am. Kibale park officials will allocate a guide to lead you on an on-foot-walk to see chimpanzees, an adventure expected to cover 2-4 hours and you return after 1 hour of face to face with these interesting apes.

Kibale Forest is a host to more than just 1500 chimpanzees but also countless red colobus, L’Hoest, colobus, red-tailed monkeys; birds, etc which you will get exposed to.

Start a return walk or be picked up by the driver if he or she dropped you at a certain point in Kibale Forest. Have lunch in your accommodation in Kibale and then begin your Queen Elizabeth trip arriving later in the afternoon.

Day 5: Game drive with the guide & Boat cruise, Queen Elizabeth NP

Following a cup of tea, a Guided game drive in Kasenyi trail of Queen Elizabeth-2 to 3hrs. Kasenyi trail animal sightings will include elephants, Kobs, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mongoose, waterbucks, cape buffaloes, leopards, birds, and so on.

From Kasenyi, drive back to be served lunch before proceeding for a Launch cruise on the extensive Kazinga Channel. This will also take you 2 to 3hrs but rewards you with amazing animal sightings specifically hippos, water birds, crocodiles.
