Brief Itinerary: 2 Days gorilla trekking Rwanda

Day 1: Depart Kigali City for Volcanoes National Park

Our 2 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda departs from a Hotel in Kigali City at about 7:00 am then engage in a City tour. Later drive through the scenic City of Kigali and Northern Province to the booked accommodation facility in the outskirts of Volcanoes National Park. Your road transfer is done in a comfortable air-conditioned safari vehicle and takes about 3 hours.

Settle in at the reserved place of Lodging, have lunch and continue to the Gorilla Guardian Village and this is where your adventure begins. Learn about banana beer brewing, preparation of traditional dishes, grinding of millet flour, preparation and use of herbal medicine, and many other activities. A sumptuous dinner will be prepared by some of the Lodge’s experienced Chefs and decoratively served in the comfort of your room or restaurant.

Day 2: Volcanoes Gorilla Trekking Tour and drive back to Kigali

Today is dedicated to trekking the endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and given the duration of this activity, leave the Lodge after having a proper breakfast. Be at the Park Headquarters by 7:00 am for briefing whereby the Ranger guide highlights the details of the unique life of mountain gorillas and guidelines of trekking them.

Gorilla trekking can take anywhere between one and four hours, then spend one hour watching them at a distance of 7 meters. On completing this magical experience, return to the Safari Lodge for a well-earned lunch then drive back to Kigali.
