Day 1: Kampala-Ruhija region in Bwindi

Ruhija lies on the Eastern side of Bwindi and traveling to this sector requires you to leave Kampala/Entebbe early. You will meet Maranatha Tours & Travel professional driver guide for briefing and pick up. Set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern Uganda, an 8-9 hours drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle. En route, stopovers don’t miss the Equator crossing for photography and relaxation, lunch at the Igongo cultural center.

Day 2: Ruhija gorilla trekking experience

Enjoy a tasty cup of tea or coffee and after, you will be driven to a briefing area. You will be transferred to starting point for trekking your respective gorilla family. The trek takes between 2 and 6 hours, inclusive of one hour for a magical encounter and taking photos. The park guide will accompany you and he or she will explain in detail the different behaviors and also interpret their body gestures to you.

After tracking Ruhija mountain gorillas, return to relax and have lunch at the lodge. In the evening, you will go visit the Batwa pygmies, the original forest keepers, gatherers, and hunters who spent 1000s of years in the jungles co-existing with gorillas and other wildlife.
