Tour Itinerary – 15 Days Rwanda Uganda Safari
Our expert tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport and take you on a city tour of Kigali. Some of the places to see include the first house, the national museum, and the genocide memorial museum. After this excursion, have lunch and then drive to Nyungwe, where you will spend the night at the Nyungwe Topview Hotel (mid-range), the Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), or the Gisekura Guest House (budget).
racking of chimpanzees in Nyungwe After your breakfast, you will transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park for briefing and then chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Please be aware that the chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest National Park are semi-habituated, so if you want to see them, you’ll need to get up early. You can also take the daring canopy walk, which takes you from one end of the forest to the other while you observe birds and other primates. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay at the Nyungwe Topview Hotel (midrange), Nyungwe Forest Lodge (luxury), or Gisekura Guest House (budget).
Prepare for your early morning transfer to Volcanoes National Park by eating breakfast. The park is in the province of Musanze. Dinner and a night’s stay at the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), La Palme Hotel (Deluxe), or Muhabura Guest House (Budget) are included.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters by 7:30 a.m. before embarking on the unforgettable forest adventure. By 2:00 p.m., you will be back. After having lunch or refreshments at the hotel, head to Ib’iwachu Cultural Village to immerse yourself in traditional Kinyarwanda culture. After having breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head to the Kinigi park head. By 8:30 a.m., you’ll be at the park headquarters, where you’ll park your lunch and get a briefing before starting your unforgettable forest adventure. You will be back by 2:00 p.m. or so. The Dian Fossey tomb can be reached on foot by visitors. After having lunch and refreshments at your hotel, you’ll head to Lake Kivu to unwind on the lake’s shores. Dinner and a night’s stay are at the Lake Kivu Serena (Luxury) hotel, Palm Gardens (Deluxe), and Paradise Malahide (Budget).
After breakfast in the morning, you’ll take a boat ride along Lake Kivu to see the tiny island in the lake. Rwanda’s largest freshwater lake is Lake Kivu. Later, take a quick lunch before setting out for Uganda via the Chanika border. Dinner and a stay at Birdnest/Bunyonyi Resort are included.
You will have breakfast early in the morning and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park by 7:30 a.m. You’ll drive through the Ishasha sector, where you might catch a glimpse of tree-climbing lions. Continue on to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the Mweya Safari Lodge early enough. You will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel at 4 p.m. after lunch, where you will see numerous bird species as well as crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, elephants, and other animals. Take a boat ride to the lodge, where you’ll have dinner, refreshment, and a place to stay the night at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury), Ihamba Lodge (Deluxe), or Kingfisher Lodge (Budget).
You will go on game drives in the morning, where you will see animals like lions, bushbucks, elephants, water hogs, and other species. After a late breakfast at the hotel, return there and unwind by the pool while you wait for lunch. After lunch, travel to Kibale national park, which is home to more than 13 species of primates. Ndali Lodge (Luxury), Mountain’s of the Moon Hotel (Deluxe), and Chimps Nest Lodge (Budget) serve dinner and stay the night.
Breakfast early in the morning, then head to Kibale forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking, where you’ll stay until midday. Lunch will be served at Chimps Nest Lodge, and in the afternoon, you’ll take a nature walk through the Bigodi wetland sanctuary, where you’ll see a wide range of animals and birds. Later, you drive back to Fort Portal, where you can visit the “Amabeere Ganyina Mwiru” and the king’s palace if you’re still awake and alert. Dinner and staying the night (Day 4).
Have an early breakfast at the hotel and pick up by our company tour guide – hit the road to Masindi where the magnificent Murchison Falls Park is situated, en-route visit to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary and lunch in Masindi town. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Murchison River lodge / Red chili Rest Camp.
Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea and a game drive in the morning to look for early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Expect to meet a variety of animals on this game drive, including African lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and giraffes. As we wait for lunch, return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Take a wonderful launch cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls in the afternoon. Over 450 species of birds call Murchison Falls home, as do enormous crocodiles, hippos, and elephants basking on the shores. Stay the night at Red Chili Camp, Paraa Lodge, or Murchison Lodge.
After breakfast, go to the Kaniyo Pabidi forest reserve to track chimpanzees. Because the chimps’ calls can be heard throughout the forest, it’s a great experience to approach these animals and observe them in their natural environment. After that, you’ll take a return trip to Kampala, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night at the Serena Hotel (Luxury), Cassia Lodge (Deluxe), or Landmark View Hotel (Budget).
After having breakfast at your hotel, head to Jinja to see where the Nile comes from. Expect to stop in Jinja town and the Mabira forest reserve along the way. Go water rafting and experience the rush of adrenaline. Dinner and a night in bed.
If your flight leaves in the evening, you will take a morning city tour of Kampala. On this tour, you will visit the National Museum, a Bahai temple, the Gadafhi Mosque, local markets, Kasubi tombs, and the Namugongo Shrines, where Ugandan martyrs were killed for refusing to denounce their Christian faith. Dinner and the night away.
You will be taken to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight after breakfast, depending on the details of your flight.
